This is a fun card! I used a Stampin Up stamp and then colored it in. Tear a scrap of red card stock on all edges and tape your stamped image on. A strip of yellowis attached verticle and embossed with stampin up snowflakes. I used some green as the card and stamped some snowflakes ( I believe a $1 stamp from Michaels) in black. Tie a piece of twine and you're all set! Easy!!!
Hurricane Sandy prevented me from posting for the past few days so all in one day we will catch up !
This is an easy card if I've ever seen one! Card is 5 1/2x 4 1/4. Red is 5 1/4x 4. Kraft paper 5x 3 3/4. Scrap for the contrast strip and a bit of silver string for a tie. Simply punch the snowflake out of the kraft and stamp sentiment. Tie bow around craft/ scrap and assemble! Very easy!!! Don't forget to keep that snowflake for the next card!
Day of 2 of Christmas cards. I can't believe it's not even Halloween but you will thank yourself for getting a head start on these!
Here is an easy card! 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 whisper white, 5 1/4x 4 green, 5x 3 3/4 red, 4 3/4x 3 1/2 whisper white. You can use any snowflake stamp you have and stamp in the shape of a wreath. Stamp sentiment on bottom, glue bow and add glitter. That's simple!
We all get very busy around the holidays so I decided to make a countdown to Christmas card posting! If you start making your cards now you should be ahead of the game when Christmas gets here! Read below each one for details on how to make the cards.
For this card I used whisper white card stock 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Red snowflake print paper 5 1/4x 4. I stamped scrap white with Stampin Up snowman stamp. I colored the snowman with red and used a silver glitter to fill in the hat and buttons. Spellbinders frame was used to create the holder for " Merry Christmas. I believe the word stamp was a $1 find from Michael's.
I came across a Dresden Plate Sizzix die.
Would you believe it??? I have never seen one and I just stumbled upon it on
Ebay. I think I paid $8 plus shipping.
course now I am using it for not only fabric but cards also! It is a bit smaller
that the 5" blades I have been making but it's great for cards and even better
to use up your scraps. By using different scraps you get completely different
looks. Check out my YouTube
video on how to create a Dresden Plate Card.
don't have the time, money or space to start card making check out My Etsy Shop for
Card Making Kits at a fun and affordable cost. No dies to
store or markers to buy- just grab some tape and put them together!
Maybe it's a bug! If so, I hope it stays
around for a bit! I am loving the Dresdon Plate block! I decided to hand
applique the sunflower one so when it is completely finished I will post a
picture. In the meantime I made ANOTHER one! This one I left round and I quilted
it. It is a perfect candle mat! This was easy and it took about an hour. You
know the best part though.... SCRAPS! If you would like to purchase the pattern
you can check out my Etsy shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/OneOldStitch
Plate can be an intimidating quilt block but if you can get a little bit of
courage you can conquer this! I absolutely love this as it is sooooo versatile!
You can make the Dresden plate and use it as a candle mat, make three, sew a
backing and use it as a table runner, a pillow or a wall hanging. The best
part? SCRAP STASH BUSTER!
